All Right, I'm not in the front office of an NFL team and maybe... just maybe I don't know exactly how things work around there. But can anyone explain the logic of considering former Baltimore Ravens Offensive Coordinator Matt Cavanaugh for the position in Jacksonville?

For those who aren't familiar with Cavanaugh's work let me fill you in. He was the offensive coordinator for a team that finished 31st (out of 32) in total offense. His quarterbacks passed for an average of 145 yards per game (good enough for 31st out of 32) and his team managed to score 13 touchdowns ALL season (this bumps them up to 30 out of 32). Astoundingly he was fired. Apparently a lot of the problems with Baltimore's offense revolved around injuries but does that really matter? Is he an incredible offensive coordinator when everyone is healthy? Well good, if the SuperBowl is played on the first day of training camp, I'm sure we'll be fine. After that someone is going to go down clutching a knee. Wayne Weaver has made some good choices in the past, please don't screw this one up. Again... call Norm Chow... make him an offer he can't refuse.
