Daunte Culpepper dissed my high school!

Dude, Daunte Culpepper just moved down my esteem-o-meter about 5 notches. A football player at my old high school was paralyzed recently while playing - and, well, I'll let the article tell the story...

Wow what a douche bag... It led me to think "What would I have done if I were a rich athlete wearing more ICE than most people's annual salary and some paralyzed kid asked me how he could get some of that?"

The only answer that I can think of is that I would not have impulsively draped it around his neck. Anyway, Daunte Culpepper earned $12,440,000 in 2003 (the latest salary figure I could find). The $75,000 necklaces represents about 0.6% of that salary or about 220 dollars to the average US income of $37,000!

Nice going you cheap fuck, next time why don't you douse the poor kid in gasoline, set him on fire and roll him down a hill.

Seriously - he didn't have to give him the necklace, but once you give it should you shouldn't ask for it back. It looks to me like he wanted to good press for giving it but then didn't want to actually lose his precious pepper necklace.
Of course, it would have been funny if Culpepper had told the student to get up and walk over and take the necklace if he wanted it so bad. But he didn't even do that! :)

"Yo kid, you want it so bad. Come an git it" I just can't believe he was wearing like $75,000 in jewerly. I can't exactly remember, but I seem to recall someone like Bill Romanowski getting mugged while wearing around a quarter of a million dollars worth of jewelry. That is insane.
