Enough of the "dynasty" talk. The Eagles choked away their Super Bowl victory. That I can deal with, but this idea that the Patriots are one of the best teams ever is ridiculous. I mean, how good are they going to be next year without Charlie Weiss and Romeo Crennel? If the Pats go 4 and 12 next year will we still have to listen to crap about them being a "dynasty" or even worse, the post free agency version of a "dynasty"? You want to talk about shlupping a quarterback's D? Can Andrea Kramer or Terry Bradshaw deepthroat any more? For God's sake, it was a sloppy victory over a team that basically handed them the game. Three Super Bowl victories by 3 points each does not a dynasty make. Especially when you have to beat the likes of Carolina for one of them. Get over it and save the dynasty talk for teams that really deserve it.

I have to disagree...Winning three Super Bowls in four years is an amazing feat, no matter what the margin of victory. Hell, with 32 (33?) teams in the NFL nowadays, I'd say it's more impressive than ever!

The Patriots are NOT a dynasty! They did not even make the playoffs in 2002. And like I said, what if they have a losing season next year. Would you consider a dynasty a team that has gone to the playoffs in only three of five years? Or in only three of six years if you throw in the year before their first Super Bowl victory?

All I'm saying is let's hold off on the dynasty talk until we see a few more good years out of them. Not even necessarily Super Bowl winning years. My problem with all this nonsense is that it seems that we (journalists) are so desperate to find the next "DYNASTY". They did the same thing with St. Louis a few years back.

I'm not saying that what the Patriots have done isn't phenomenally impressive given today's standards in the NFL, but you can't just change the definition of a dynasty because of how the NFL has set up free agency. It takes away from the accomplishment of true dynasties.
