Tom DeLay

What a crazy man. He can't keep his mouth shut even though he is under like 15 investigations and many are calling for his removal from his leadership post. Today he is quoted as saying that judges should be removed for not voting the way he likes, because the Constitution says that judges can be removed for "bad behavior". What a naked power grab. What irks me about it (among many reasons) is that he is complaining about "judicial activism", which he defines as judges twisting the meaning of the Constitution, and then he interprets the Constitution to mean that Congress can remove judges (who are supposed to be independent of voters) if they don't like the way they can vote. It's a lot more apparent to me that the Founding Fathers wanted judges to be free of political interference than it is that they meant "bad behavior" include judges' voting habits. Hypocracy! Thy name is DeLay!
