Please... for the love of God... just make Terrell Owens go away. How can someone so totally dominate football coverage when not even a pass has been thrown his way. Well, I'll tell you how... by being a complete ASSHOLE!!! I don't normally wish harm on others, but please, just let him shred his ACL in the first preseason game so we don't have to hear from him for at least a year. I'm just kidding by the way... I don't want any bad karma.

Otherwise football season is right around the corner. I'm excited about Jacksonville's prospects this year. I think the team will go where Byron Leftwich and Fred Taylor take them; however, there is the looming fear that this will be the last year they are the Jacksonville Jaguars... and then what? Bucs Fan? Dolphins Fan? Screw that... I'm rooting for the Patriots. Or whoever is good at that point.

Terrell Owens Trade Rumors. If you don't want to read the article... I'll sum it up for you. The Eagles don't want TO and noone else does either. But it's a pretty funny look at the possibilities for other teams, or lack thereof.

Yeah, TO is a dildo. He makes Randy Moss look like a good citizen. :)
Where is there concern about the Jaguars leaving town coming from? I agree attendance could be better but there are teams out there that are way more vulnerable than the Jags to being moved. Like the Cardinals, I would think. Besides the team has made a huge profit over its history, and a few down years shouldn't make a difference. Wayne Weaver knows he's got a sweet deal here on Alltel Stadium and he'd be a fool to walk away from a city that's willing to subsidize the stadium in this way.

I think there has been a lot of issues lately between Wayne Weaver and the city regarding the Jaguars lease... (which is either up soon or up for renewal). Anyway, it look pretty gloomy a couple of weeks ago, but who knows how these things play out. If the Jaguars play well this year and make it to the Playoffs, it will put asses in the seats... which will in turn put money in Wayne Weaver's pocket.

The simple fact of the matter though is that he stands to make truckloads of money by moving the franchise to LA.

I don't buy the whole LA thing - if the NFL moved a team to LA then none of the other franchises would be able to threaten to move there. If LA had a team, where would owners threaten to move their franchise? Salt Lake City? Birmingham? Boise? LA is more useful to the individual NFL franchises without a team than with it.

That's really funny and one of the points the mayor of LA makes in the article I linked to above... good call.

Sweet - hopefully it makes up for my "yellow fever" idiocy.
